Follow the local road from the historic village center of Caminha and you will feel more than welcome when arriving at this beautiful luxury villa. Villa Tamara is located in an elevated position and offers views over the surrounding vineyards. This large villa is the result of a careful restoration of a typical Minho farmhouse which was carried out by skilled local workers. The main features of the original building were retained for the unique atmosphere that can be felt throughout the building. The property has been lovingly furnished and provides comfort with beautifully decorated bedrooms and a remarkable living room with doors opening onto a large terrace which is ideal for al fresco dining.

The villa has two floors, which are connected by an iron staircase. The intimate dining room leads to the well-equipped modern fitted keuken.The traditionally decorated living room opens onto the courtyard. The beautiful master bedroom is located on the top floor - the extravagant bathroom en-suite has a large bath and separate shower.The wide stone walls ensure that the farm remains pleasantly cool during the hottest days of summer while retaining heat in the cooler seasons. One of the bedrooms on the upper floor has a large terrace with panoramic views of the area and the pool. The original stone walls were repaired and many windows create a light and airy feel to the interior. This beautiful villa offers a perfect base for those wishing to enjoy the unspoilt Minho region. The local shop and a cafe in the village can be found about 1000 meters away. Caminha, with its art treasures, beautiful 15th-and 16th-century buildings around the central square and excellent restaurants is less than 6 km away.
A day trip to Spain from Caminha is very well possible. A daily ferry connects the two banks of the River Minho. The fine sandy beaches of Moledo and Afife are less than 10 minutes. Various sports activities such as horseback riding, rafting and canoeing are available in this area. An excellent 18-hole golf course is situated on a hill just outside the beautiful Roman town of Ponte de Lima, which is located approximately 40 minutes away.
